Abstract
The right atrial myxoma is a tumor that is often difficult to diagnose. Sometimes the first clinical manifestation is a pulmonary embolism, due to small tumor fragments originating from the tumor mass. Early diagnosis of cardiac myxoma is important since surgical treatment usually leads to resolution of the symptoms and patient has good longterm survival, depends of the age and associated pathology.
