Conjuntivitis hemorrágica

Resumen

La infección viral epidémica que se ha detectado desde 1969 y que se ha convertido en pandemia que afecta a la conjuntiva y eventualmente a la córnea se denomina conjuntivitis hemorrágica aguda, algunos la conocen como "gripa ocular", es altamente contagiosa, se autolimita y no deja secuelas. El enterovirus 70 se encuentra como agente etiológico en 65% de los casos en el grupo etario de 11-15 años, ECHO 1-2 y Coxsackie A24 en 15-25%.
