Radioterapia de haz externo en el cáncer invasor de tiroides. Estado del arte en el Hospital Juárez de México

Resumen
El cáncer de tiroides es la neoplasia endocrina más frecuente en el mundo, la principal modalidad de tratamiento es la cirugía, que puede acompañarse de radioterapia (RT) en forma de yodo radioactivo (I131) o teleterapia (usada con menor frecuencia), supresión del eje hipotálamotiroides con hormona tiroidea y ocasionalmente quimioterapia. Presentamos la experiencia del Hospital Juárez de México en el uso de la radioterapia de haz externo en pacientes con cáncer de tiroides, estudio retrospectivo en un periodo de 189 meses.
