Use of Automatic Bibliographic Managers

Priority will be given to contributions that provide standardized references through the use of an electronic bibliographic manager, such as: Zotero, BibMe, Mendeley, RefWorks, EndNote, or any other manager compatible with scientific publishing.

DOI Identifier for References

In all applicable cases—particularly when referring to electronic documents—the corresponding DOI must be provided.

Vancouver Citation Style

The Vancouver citation style is used. References shall be ordered and numbered according to the order of appearance in the text, with the respective superscript notation (without parentheses, without spaces, separated by commas, and using hyphens for more than two consecutive numbers). They must be copied and pasted exactly as they appear in the cited source, which generally includes: authors, article title, journal title, year, period, volume, issue, and pages.

Recommendations to Follow

  • Self-citation: Self-citation must not exceed 20% of the total number of references.

  • Inclusion: Only materials cited within the text (bibliographic, periodical, and electronic) must be included in the References list, strictly adhering to the Vancouver citation style.

  • Electronic References: For electronic references, ensure that all links are active and invariably include the DOI if one exists.
