Resumen
La neurología, la psiquiatría y la neurocirugía han sido tradicionalmente las ciencias médicas relacionadas con el sistema nervioso humano, las cuales han experimentado importantes cambios de diversificación, subdivisión y desarrollo en consonancia con cambios similares ocurridos en otras áreas de las ciencias biológicas, condicionados a su vez por los espectaculares avances tecnológicos del último tercio del siglo XX.
