Resumen
El hepatocarcinoma (HCC) se define como una neoplasia maligna primaria del hígado que se origina en los hepatocitos. El HCC es la neoplasia maligna más frecuente del hígado. La incidencia de esta neoplasia incrementó en países desarrollados y se identificó su relación con la infección por el virus de la hepatitis C.
