Resumen
Las fracturas maxilofaciales representan 6 a 8% de las fracturas óseas. La causa más común de fracturas maxilofaciales son los accidentes automovilísticos (90.5%), y en segundo lugar la violencia (2.71%), está bien documentado que la causa, el tipo y el sitio de las fracturas faciales varía según la localización geográfica, el sexo y la edad.
