Resumen

El ozono (O ) es el principal contaminante fotoquímico del aire, reacciona directamente con biomoléculas en el aparato respiratorio y genera estrés oxidativo directo y sistémico. Induce liberación de citocinas, expresión de la sintasa inducible de óxi- do nítrico (iNOS) y reclutamiento de leucocitos. El óxido nítri- co (NO) reacciona con superóxido (O -) para formar peroxini- trito (OONO-), el cual nitra tirosina y forma nitrotirosina.
